ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This accessibility statement applies to the engagement platform for the Pulley Lane project.

This engagement platform

This engagement platform is run by Participatr Limited. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this engagement platform. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • Zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the engagement platform using just a keyboard
  • Navigate most of the engagement platform using speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the engagement platform using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We've also made the engagement platform text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this engagement platform is

We know some parts of this engagement platform are not fully accessible:

  • Certain user controls on the interactive maps integrated into this engagement platform do not include text descriptions
  • Live video streams do not have captions

Feedback and contact information

If you need information on this engagement platform in a different format like accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording or braille, or have any difficulty viewing live video streams or using the interactive map, please email hello@participatr.co.uk. We will then consider your request and get back to you in 5 working days.

Reporting accessibility problems with this engagement platform

We're always looking to improve the accessibility of this engagement platform. If you find any problems not listed on this page or think we're not meeting accessibility requirements, please send an email to hello@participatr.co.uk, including a link to the relevant web page.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the 'accessibility regulations'). If you're not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information about this website's accessibility

Participatr Limited is committed to making this engagement platform accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliances

The interactive map page on this website does not include a level-one heading. This is because the map needs to take up the full width and height of the screen in order to function properly.

Disproportionate burden

Certain user controls on the interactive maps plugin integrated into this website do not include text descriptions. We have assessed the potential to rectify this issue but the maps engine is provided by a third-party, and functionality is not available to us to include text descriptions. No other provider is able to provide a similar or equivalent service with this functionality available.

Content that's not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Live video streams do not have captions. We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
